Cadets and graduates will always share an unwavering commitment to service—a desire to contribute to something larger than themselves. West Point Ready is an opportunity to do just that and to honor West Point’s legacy of service. Before us is one, bold vision for the Academy and the Corps of Cadets. The campaign’s first significant gifts is from its Campaign Cabinet Chair Bob McDonald.
The Honorable Robert A. McDonald, Class of 1975, and his wife Diane, have committed $10 million in support of the West Point Association of Graduates. As the current Chairman of the WPAOG Board of Directors, McDonald’s investment in the Association’s mission to serve West Point and the Long Gray Line is transformative in supporting and growing the Association’s programs well into the future. To recognize this tremendous and historic gift, the largest ever in support of WPAOG, the President and CEO position, as well as the President’s office suite at Herbert Alumni Center, have been named for Bob and Diane. Their philanthropic leadership is recognized as the largest lifetime giving donors to WPAOG, top five lifetime giving to the Academy, and, at this time, as the lead donors to the Class of 1975 50th Reunion Class Gift. The McDonalds’ enduring commitment to West Point and WPAOG, both in volunteer leadership and generosity, is an inspiration. In addition, the McDonalds have been lead donors to the Class of 1975 50th Reunion Class Gift. The McDonalds’ enduring dedication to West Point and WPAOG, both in volunteer leadership and generosity, is an inspiration.

Together, we can ensure that our future leaders are Ready to Serve, Ready to Lead our nation with honor.
